FAQ

  • Are there classes for absolute beginneres, or do I need some basic knowledge of Tango?

We invite absolute beginners with no dance experience, as well as individuals with prior Tango experience

  • Do I need a partner to join the class, or can I come alone?

While Tango is traditionally a partner dance, we recommend attending with a partner, but solo participants are welcome if there are other male/female dancers available to partner with you.

  • What is the age range of participants in Tango classes?

Tango classes are open to people aged 18 and above, or anyone who feels comfortable joining

  • What's the average class size, and will I receive individual attention?

Classes typically have 4 to 5 couples, allowing us to provide personalized attention to each couple, a key aspect of our teaching principles.

  • How long does is typically take to learn the basic of Tango if you are a beginner?

Tango is not technically difficult. Check out a breif presentation to see what you can learn in just one month.

  • Are there opportunities for social dancing or events outside of regular classes?

Absolutely! Tango is a social dance, and there are frequent milongas (tango events) for anyone learning Tango to attend.

  • What should I wear to a Tango class? Are special shoes required?

Ladies can wear comfortable outfits such as dresses, skirts (not below knee-length) or stretch pants. For men, slacks and a shirt are suitable. If you don't have dancing shoes, ladies can wear flat or comfortable heeled shoes, and men should choose shoes with thin soles.

  • How can I sign up for a trial class, and what is the cost?
